Hi Patricia,

Being vulnerable gives us access to great strength...it takes a lot of courage to dig deep into those layers of judgment and belief only to discover that all things can work for good. As a friend told me not too long ago when I was struggling with being real:

Courage is not the absence of fear and you are not alone :)

Much love,

PK

Paula, great article. I had to peel away all of layers of who I thought I was to find who I really was. I had to release a lot of fairy tale ideas of who I was to find me. I told myself that I was an honest person. What I found was that because of the family secret sof alcoholism and incest, nothing about me was honest. I had to lie about who I was to feel safe and to keep others from knowing the wounded child that I really was. Today, there are no family secrets. I openly write and talk about them and who I was because of them.
