Hi Patricia,

Thanks so much for your support for my book. It's the kind of story that when I begin to tell it to people they often question me on whether or not it really happened :) In a good way though! They look at me now and have difficulty imagining me living the life of a nomadic gypsy ;)

I also, have had many animal totems and not surprisingly a big white wolf was one of my first! I did not know the "head butt" thing with cats but have always suspected it! Dogs by the way will sit on you to claim you! I'm forever knocking my dog off of my feet, if I stand still it just seems like a good place for her bottom ;) BTW...I can see the tiger in you! Hope you had a great weekend ~

Hi Vitor,

This is a profound lesson! I've been an animal person all my life so to meet one and have trouble connecting is an uncommon situation for me. Animals are great teachers! That we all have natures to work within is a great lesson.

The teaching they've been testing me on lately revolves around the best way to make a change. Which is not to look toward others to change...but to start with myself ;)

Much love to you both,

PK

I have had this type of connection with some of my pets. I'm definitely a cat kind of person, and happen to have 4 of them.

The biggest lesson they've taught me is that I can't prevent them from being the way they are. Whenever a serious disconnect happens, it's usually my fault because I'm expecting them to behave against their nature.

Your book sounds wonderful. I will look forward to its release in 2008. A major difference between a dog and a cat is that you own the dog but the cat owns you. Cats definitely think they are royalty. I grew up with dogs and have a natural affinity with them. I love dogs and they seem to return the favor. As an adult, I have had cats. I like their independent personality. They come and go as they please. Did you know that when a cat butts you with their head that they are claiming you as their property? I think as an adult, I am more like a cat than a dog. One of my strongest animal totems is the tiger. A few years ago, for a short time, one of my totems was a black jaguar. Actually there were 2 of them that came to me in dreams for at least a month. Have a glorious weekend.
