I agree that the will, delight and desire to learn must be there or else not much of anything useful is achieved.  I think, like most everything in this universe it boils down to intent.  If our intent is there, than it opens a new avenue of change that affects us and therefore changes our perception of the world around us.  The word alchemical is a perfect description of this process!

I get this feeling of wonder whenever I am able to learn something new. i&#039;ve realized, by observing myself and others, that learning is utterly useless unless one wants to lear and is willing to change one&#039;s perceptions. In this sense it feels almost like an alchemical process.</description>
