Author’s Note:  The following post was inspired by questions asked of me by Albert Foong of the Urban Monk.  Thank you Albert for your questioning and seeking of the Truth

On Halloween or Samhain there is a belief that remains constant regardless of how you may celebrate the holiday – this is the understanding that on October 31st – the veils that typically keep us from seeing the world of energy and spirit and keep us firmly rooted in our 3rd dimensional reality grow thin even for those who typically don’t experience such things.

In ages past, it was also thought that this made people particularly vulnerable to negative entities who use this unaccustomed sight to generate and feed off of the fear energy of the those unlucky enough to encounter them.

This kind of thinking still survives, only now it lives in the collective subconscious mind where it mostly remains out of sight and unnoticed until something stimulates it into action.

So let me stimulate you by talking about the biggest beastie of them all – Lucifer himself.  When it comes to fear-based promotion, this guy has got a great publicist – after all what could be more terrifying than the very personification of evil itself?

So who is he and what does he really want?

The answer is simple.  Lucifer is an Archangel who was given a pathway to become one of humanities greatest teachers.  Stay with me now…

Why?

Because within our evolution came a time when our third energy center became very active within us. We moved up from the level of survival and simple pleasures and now were beginning to understand that we could influence and impact the world and situations around us. We could bend nature and others to our will.  As a result, individuality began to step forward above the group or collective thinking and as it began to take over the control booth a funny thing happened…we fell into judgment.

Now during this time the lower energy centers were in control – and we basically operated from two principles – moving away from pain or moving toward pleasure.  Only now there was another element getting mixed in -  what we believed would get us pleasure (or what I call projected into the future pleasure) – and this thing came to be called desire or what I want.  Soon all things pleasurable became good, anything that promoted our sense of will was good and anything that stood in the way of it was bad.

We chose this method of learning so that we could fully experience our individual impact on the whole.  In the Archangelic realms – plans were made to support us in this learning so that we could fully explore our own power and impact through our third energy center.

The Archangelic realms mirrored our internal split – many of the Angels were assigned to be space holders for Divine energies to support us in understanding and finding our way back to Oneness.  Others, were given the job of taking on negative energies in order to mirror to us our learning choices.  These were called by history – fallen angels – however they are merely high level dark teachers wearing masks.

So who is the Devil really?

He is the essence of Duality – a paradox – he is everything scary and he is everything Light.  The best way to consider it is through the concept of a spectrum – what you see and experience of him is determined by the vibration you are humming along at when you encounter him.

If you meet up with him when you are in a vibration of fear – he’s the scariest thing on cloven feet you’ve ever seen.  From the vibration of unconditional love he is the Angel of Light – the most beautiful of Archangels – the one who sang over the throne of God.

Some angels hold the space of Light,  fallen angels have followed us down into the darkness and will not come back until we all choose the light – this is how much they love us.

Lucifer’s job is to reflect to us the darkness that lives in our hearts – so that we may choose to live in love – this is what he does.  In order to do this he has to stay rooted in Source – otherwise it would be an impossibility to be meet us at each level within the spectrum.

What is he like?

I checked in with Lucifer to have a little chat before writing this post.  He is very funny!  As you can imagine he is also very charming.  I like him a lot.  It IS difficult to maintain the vibration necessary to see him as the angel of light rather than something of darkness as it requires you to consciously disconnect from the collective belief system and several times during the our conversation I was prompted to raise my vibration.  Like I said, it’s not easy – but it can be done!

His message is that he is really working FOR you.

He really appreciates anyone who can see him through the eyes of love as it is such a rare treat!  When you realize that Lucifer is really working FOR you rather than against you – what on Earth is there to possibly be afraid of???

So my dears, be Light-based tonight.  Enter your heart centers, open your seventh chakra’s, raise your vibrations and have yourself a wonderfully fun and Happy Halloween!

I haven’t been posting this week due to the profundity of my most recent experiences. I made a vow to focus my energy and intent on my personal relationship with Source and the Beings of Light that assist me in life and when I try to write about what has happened over the last week, all words seem to fall short of an accurate description.

One of these experiences however, I feel compelled to share, whether or not the words I use here fall short of actually conveying to you the magnitude of the process to which I was participant and witness.

The Archangel Gabriel has been working with me in a very personal way this week. He has shown me processes, systems, worked with me on illusions and abundance to name a few. I often do energy balancing on the treadmill, but this week I have been doing a lot more than usual. The balancing I do happens both before and during my workout and this day was no exception. I worked out and had a particularly enlightening session with Gabriel, St. Mary and St. Germain – I left the gym with my vibration so high, feeling so balanced that what happened next nearly threw me for a loop.

I returned from the work out, ate lunch and knelt before my alter – starting a conversation with Source. Immediately, I felt an extremely heavy, dark weight come up from the depths of my chest. It hurt, it was constricting and I was forced to double over with it. Immediately, I began to see it emerge from the depths of my being and form a ball in my heart chakra. Gabriel was instantly beside me and I asked him about this black sphere. He told me that it was my share of all the toxicity that I have created on this earth since my first incarnation on this planet.

At this point I began to cry for her – Oh, Mama – I’m sorry - I sobbed.  It was at that moment that I felt the magnitude of it – of my own unconsciousness over the course and history of my Soul.

I turned to Gabriel and asked, What do I do with this? He replied, You make a different choice. Within seconds I knew what I needed to do. I chose to take this from the earth and give her something she could use in it’s place – I did not know how I would do it – Source provided me grace though and that was all I needed.

Gabriel held the dark sphere in the space of Divine truth for me and I passed it to the Archangel Michael. Michael used the blue fire of God to purify it – until it was ablaze with Divine Light. At that point the torch was passed to the Archangel Raphael who brought it to a state of balance and wholeness – infusing it with his green/gold light. From there it went to Uriel who filled it with the vibration of Divine Love and then on to Ariel, who with the greatest of compassion, showered the earth with this new revitalizing energy.

I felt the lightness immediately as the ball transformed and my vibration soared even higher still. Gabriel, I said, thank you.

I now understand an aspect of spiritual abundance that was previously lost on me. It’s the greatest recycling process the world has ever known – and we can all do it – all that is required is that we release – we can let go of our darkness (our illusions, programs and anything and everything that is not real) to the purification of the Light which turns it into something we can reintegrate, balance and harmonize.

All we have to do is give it to Angels, tell them we no longer desire, need or have any attachment to it and they will take care of the rest – the only caveat is that we have to be extremely honest and really want to let it go -  we can decieve ourselves and often times do – but Spirit doesn’t buy into our illusions, walks in Divine Truth and sees through us every time

Well the Archangel Michael is once again in my consciousness moving and shifting things around.  I love Michael and when he comes front and center like this it can only mean one thing…my entire world is about to change and that is just what has most recently occurred.

I like to think of Michael as my spiritual engineer.  He shows up to keep things on track, informs me of new plans and destinations and essentially makes sure that all systems are a go.  He is also there to give me a shot of courage now and then or to tell like it is if necessary.  He is, hands down, one of my favorite Archangels and through this story, I think you’ll see why.

Continued Education

For the past three years I have been on an accelerated learning track.  This has included breaking through meditation blocks and barriers to be able to reach sacred space within myself, Coach training, NLP training, Soul Realignment and much more.

While in the NLP Practitioner course, I met a woman who opened a doorway to yet another kind of training that I was instantly interested in…this course was centered around Source and the angels.  She and her class were such a draw  for me that I nearly opted out of continuing on as an NLP Master Practitioner in order to get started earlier (as the two classes were going at the same time).  Fortunately though, I finished the Master track, as this level of NLP opened channels of awareness within me that had previously been untapped and I’m not one to turn down a higher level of awareness!

After the NLP Master Practitioner training however, I had a lot of internal reorganizing to do and for the first time ever, I was actually beginning to feel as if another training was the last thing I had the energy for.  This for me, was the beginning of a physical shift that was taking place outside of my conscious awareness.

Advice

My guides were quick to tell me that I needed to build in support for my physical body.  Energetically I was growing by leaps and bounds…physically, I was struggling to keep up even though this was not yet obvious to me.  All summer long my Guide team kept on me to develop an exercise program to balance out the disproportionate amount of time I spend in the energy world.  I began to take them seriously and started a regular routine at the local gym with my husband.

Working it Out

My husband loves lifting weights and has been working out for years.  When I came up with the idea of us going to the gym together to help with my consistency, he was very excited and instantly created a weight routine to compliment my running schedule.

In no time I was going 5 days a week and working out for over an hour a day straight.  This in and of itself would not be as useful if I did not do energy work while working out.  When I get on the treadmill I clean, balance and align my chakra system.  I connect with Source energy and release any form of negativity I may be holding down to the very cellular level of my physical form.  It is a complete and total energetic purging and cleansing that I have come to look forward to.  I LOVE my time on the treadmill!  Incidentally, this is also where I work on creating my light body.

Extreme Self-Care

When school started again for my kids, I was very excited because I’ve had a project that’s been in my consciousness since April to create.  My growth simply hadn’t been ready to support it until now.  With my physical form taking its time catching up to my vibrational growth, this project was looking like it would be very taxing energetically and so I thought I should just keep doing what I had been for awhile and not add anything new to the mix.

Deciding against the pursuit of additional training caused Michael to confront me on the matter, he said, “How will you care for yourself, while you do this work that nurtures others?”  I had no answer and so he had won…I entered the class and of course, it was is all about extreme self-care.  Leave it to an Archangel to tell it like it is!

The Healer Within

While in the class I had a complete aversion to using my hands for healing.  My right hand carried such an uncharacteristic dislike for it that I could hardly handle my instruments without grimacing as if from a bitter taste.

A past life came up within the session in which my hands had been sacrificed for practicing the healing arts.  Once that had been cleared, the healer within me awakened and the Archangel Rapheal has been working closely with me ever since.

Kundalini Rising

In a lot of ways I was really not prepared.  I’ve not been practicing yoga, nor did I have any thoughts of awakening kundalini energy but apparently the work I was doing in my heart chakra was about to activate it.  I experienced a throbbing lower back that would alternate between heat and cold as blockages were burned away and removed.  The discomfort followed the chakras and I had a lot of healing to do in the first, second, fourth and fifth before it could come through.  As soon as the kundalini was released my body transitioned into its new and current physical vibration.

Physical Changes

The first thing I noticed is how much lighter my energy has become, the second was how little I can eat at once and the third was completely unexpected…I can no longer eat meat.  Meat takes too much energy to digest and so I have been completely unable to eat it since the shift.  This is challenging to me because I do not know how to cook in a vegetarian way and half of my family prefers to eat the way we always have.  I simply can not…so I make what they are used to for them and bring in the fruits, veggies and grains for myself.

All of this happened so spontaneous and quickly that I have not had time to build in any new habits to support my new eating peculiarities however, a friend gave me a vegetarian cookbook and so that is where I will start looking for new ways to work with food.  For now I eat a lot of raw fruits and vegetables and certain juices and cheeses are also very appealing.  Acacia berries, Blueberries and pomegranate are high on my list as well as cantaloupes and butternut squash.  I like raw baby carrots and snap peas and fresh corn on the cob as well, however certain foods are lifeless so I simply don’t eat them.  The attraction level seems to be hinged on the energetic signature of the food…and even this varies to some degree on the individual fruit, vegetable or grain.

Putting it all Together

The Archangels Michael, Uriel, Rapheal, Ariel and Gabriel are helping me not only with my physical body but with my projects as well.  As I go further into training with them, they are teaching me a lot of things that will of course change what I do and how I do it.

For now, I am writing…as that is where they want me to begin now that I have energetically shifted

With this congruency I’ve walked forward and have received more than I could have asked for in every respect.

I have a highly conscious friend who is fond of saying that the people you interact with will teach you what they need from you…this absolutely true!

Awoken from a Dream

Last week my husband and kids got a stomach virus all at the same time. I was the only one who was well and I spent several days and nights rushing from person to person doing anything I could to make them comfortable. As they were recovering, I energetically as well as physically cleaned house before becoming ill myself.

I awoke the morning after they were all on the mend to a shift in my body, so I tuned into my own energy throughout the day allowing my physical form to instruct me on how to care for it. I was so grateful for its wisdom, I felt like I had access to the ultimate healer/physician and so I paid close attention to its every need. I sent my body a lot of love and moved through it all with great ease. I was mostly just depleted of energy and I had nearly recovered within the span of a day.

The next evening I was awoken by our daughter who was standing next to the bed stroking my right arm. As I came to full conscious awareness I found that I had been holding my Archangel Michael Pendant while I slept in my left hand. Knowing that this had some sort of significance, I helped my daughter get back to sleep and mentally stored this piece of information for the waking hours ahead.

An Unexpected Reading

That morning, I was concerned about leaving for my NLP Master Practitioner training in San Francisco. Our son had been on again off again sick with the various parts of the virus. Instead of getting it all at once as his father and sister had, he was getting it in stages that were a few days apart. While I was recovered, my energy was still balancing and I felt like I needed to be very gentle with myself.

My friend Raj (who also attends the training) always picks me up from the airport so I phoned him to tell him how I was feeling. During the course of the conversation he gave me a quick reading. As he prepared I grounded and opened myself to source energy. Immediately an image of appeared. I was walking toward a triangular shaped mountain with a jagged snow line. On my left side was the Archangel Michael and on my right the Archangel Raphael. It felt like being brought forth toward Source, like an initiation of light.

The Pendant Meditation

During the weekend the subject of my Archangel Michael Pendant came up often. People who are energetically sensitive are drawn toward it…as if it is communicating something to them on a spiritual level. These attractions and conversations generate the sense of a deep soul level relationship as we recognize the significance of meeting someone who is on our spiritual path of growth.

Considering all of this, it is not surprising that a group of us began to hold it, seeing what we sensed as we did. Raj held it and said that he could hear it speaking but he couldn’t understand what it was saying; he urged me to connect with the pendant and find out. So while we were on our way to a fellow practitioner’s house to watch a viewing of the Princess Bride, he led me through an exercise to find out.

I went into a very deep trance despite being in a Mustang that literally excels at noticing every bump in the road and here is what I found:

The pendant showed me a radio dial and tuning into a clear channel. Raj asked what the pendant is telling me to do and the words, BE YOUR TRUTH came. So then he asked, “How do you be your truth?” I was given the answer, by walking the path of light and love.

Then he queried, “And how do you walk the path of light and love?” At this point I was shown the path directly out in front of me…an intense sense of desire, will and passion emanating from my solar plexus began to form an energetic attraction to the path and I simply replied…I must want to…but there was so much more than these words to that simple realization.

This did not mean mind wanting alone…this meant full body…wanting…the kind of wanting that moves you without your conscious awareness that you have moved.

Compassion and Jesus

The next morning I entered a meditation in which I wanted to get clear about my truth and what the path of love and light means for me. So I went to the place where I usually convene with my higher self, spirit guides and angels. I sat watching the sunrise over the ocean view from an ancient stone wall when I noticed Jesus approaching, flanked by Archangel’s Michael and Raphael.

I moved forward to greet him when he said quite abruptly, yet full of love and compassion that my heart was too small. He reached into my chest, pulled my heart out to where we could both see it, stretched it to an enormous proportion and then returned it to my chest cavity.

I sank to the ground with its weight as I watched him wave and begin to walk away. “Allow yourself to receive love,” he said, “It is always available.” At the sound of his words the new heart in my chest opened like a sponge and beautiful golden light began to flow into it from every direction. Jesus continued, “Love is in the air you breathe, the sunlight that falls on your skin, the animals, plants, trees and in the very gaps of space that create life itself. It’s in silence and it’s in sound. It’s in the people around you…and it’s in you.”

But what about the path of light and my truth? I thought toward his retreating form. “I’ll leave that to Sylvia (my higher self) to explain,” he said. O.k. yes, I thought, but please leave Michael here with me…and in a flash the Archangel was by my side. I gazed out toward Jesus in the distance noticing Michael still walking beside him…looking up into the Archangel’s face I smiled at just how habitual the programmed limitations of the mind are.

The Meaning of the Path

Sylvia spoke from the stone wall where she had been standing. Focus on your heart, she said. Place your full attention on it’s center, be there with it…and notice it deeply.

I did as she said and found myself in a darkened room. All around me were the silhouettes of pregnant bodies, inside the large abdomens were beautiful children of light. I rushed around to each tummy full of child, placed my head against them and spoke loving words of excited encouragement. I was filled with anticipation and couldn’t wait to welcome these radiant souls into the world.

Soon, I began leading the forms to a birthing room. There I helped and witnessed each child be born. I was the first person to hold them and see their beauty and perfection. As I held them and wrapped them up in love…I began to hear their song of light.

I listened for awhile, humming the tune to the infants, noticing their nuances of excitement in response. Then I handed them off to their parents…who would assist them in entering their world. At various stages of development they return for a visit. I again, noticed their beauty and perfection, together we sang the song…and from this place of love I tell them how they’ve grown. They ask me questions and I listen to them deeply…from the level of my soul, providing directional assistance while knowing fully…the curiosity, wonder, excitement, love and pure potentiality that accompanies them on their journey.

Back to Class

Later on that day, I am assisted by the Archangel Raphael in helping a classmate who is a budding empathic healer gain control of her energy after she unintentionally healed another attendee in tears over the difficulty involved in the previous day’s processes.

We hug each other as she comes fully back into herself and her own Source infused balanced energy.

The same love that I felt while holding the babies in my meditation bursts forth from my heart chakra. With Raphael’s gentle and glowing form in my mind, I smile…allow the love to flow and think…ain’t life grand?

This is the continuation of an article I wrote on Valentine’s Day called Manifesting the Love of Your Life, in which I outlined the process of creating your love list and invited you to take my beliefs about love questionnaire to help you determine what energies are operating in your love life.

Armed with your list of what you want in a romantic partner and the belief systems you have about love that have been playing in the background you can now determine how close of a vibrational match you are to getting what you want.

Most people find incongruities at this point…and end up facing the fact that many of their thought patterns (while living in the same space) are in direct conflict with one another. With their energy so divided…it’s easy to see why they’ve been getting the results they have been.

Bringing it all to a clear space, is what I’d like to talk about next.

Adopting the Attitude of Heart-Centered Living

What most of us really want is relationships in which we feel safe to be ourselves, in which we can let down our walls and in which we don’t have to hide or guard our vulnerabilities.

This viewpoint can actually constrict our ability to love ourselves and others due to the amount of attention and energy we spend toward trying to be safe.

In heart-centered living, we don’t have to try to be safe because we let the feelings of life move through our hearts, seeing both pleasure and pain as part of the human experience. This viewpoint moves us into closer connection with ourselves and others as we are no longer occupied with rejecting, avoiding or otherwise resisting our life’s situations.

The most common ways people tend to get it wrong are:

(A) Not knowing how to safely experience pain and
(B) trying to find someplace outside of themselves in which to be safe.

You Are the Only One Who Can Break Your Heart

Relationships are often filled with these two motivators, fear of being hurt and the search for a safe haven. So will this person break your heart or will they be the safety you’re searching for?

The answer is neither. Your partners actions can not break your heart. Only you can do that. Pain is resistance to whatever we are experiencing. It is how we interact with, interpret and give meaning to the events in our lives that causes us to suffer as a result of pain.

Pain in and of itself is a good thing, it is a warning system that is there to give you information about your environment.

Emotional pain happens when we create a restriction of the flow into and out of our heart system by not fully acknowledging, feeling and accepting our emotions. When our emotions are not fully expressed, the energy of the heart becomes blocked and contracted creating a sense of isolation and aloneness.

You break your own heart by rejecting life and this in turn disconnects you from your inner being…so when you find yourself immersed in judgment, rejection, pain, grief and other emotions that make you want to contract, bring kindness to yourself and comfort the part of you having the feeling. Don’t abandon yourself…be there for you by accepting and being present with your feelings.

The Spiritual Levels of Sexual Partnership

Sexual union and marriage on a spiritual level can be visually understood by observing the yin-yang symbol which represents opposites that are mutually rooted within the same system, transforming into one another while always holding the balance that creates the whole.

A marriage, or intimate relationship represents the process of two becoming one. Sex is the closest we get physically to this spiritual experience.

When you enter a relationship, your commitment is not to the other person as much as it is to the process of becoming whole…this is where we often become confused. We’re not loosing ourselves, giving up or otherwise being unfairly treated as our egos would have us believe by being in a relationship…instead we are surrendering our lives over to our authentic selves and sacrificing our egos so that our separateness becomes one, spiritually.

This is about riding the line of our connectedness…or our bliss. The goal is to stay centered in that connected space. When we keep our beingness and consciousness on that line we create rapture…and through the doors of rapture resides the timeless space that is the gateway to both life and death. In essence, sexual union represents this timeless, whole state of rapture…the death of separateness and a re-birth into a state of wholeness, which on the physical plane is the energy of creation itself.

As you can imagine, the ego has no vested interest in going down this path which is why you need to be the one calling the shots…

So how do you want to show up in a relationship? Which version of your current reality will get you closer to being whole? Is it the story of love’s past, of your broken hearts, of your bad luck or is it something else?

Putting it Together

Creating something else requires us to view our role in a love relationship from a more empowering perspective.

Much of this is accomplished by aligning ourselves with the higher level spiritual truth behind the desire to be in relationship with a partner…the opportunity to consciously experience our spiritual wholeness on the physical plane.

So now that you know what the real goal is, are clear about what qualities you want in a partner and the beliefs you held around love that have been interfering with creating the kind of relationship you want, it’s time to tap into your personal power and determine how you want to show up, so that you can get different results.

Choosing How You Show Up in a Relationship

The following exercise is useful for determining possibilities and filtering through them for the most empowering results.

Enter a meditative state, close your eyes, relax, breathe deeply and see yourself surrounded by protective white light.

Travel in your mind through time and space, to a place where you can see stretched out far behind you, a path that represents your life so far.

Out in front of you is the myriad amount of possibilities that could unfold. Stretch your hand out before you, and set your mind toward how life would look if you were living it as your most loving self.

The possibilities respond to your thoughts and begin to reorganize, reaching up to touch your hand and as they do, you see a movie of what life is like in each of them.

Try on as many as you like, get curious about them and study their differences until you find one that fits you. You’ll know by the energy and love you feel in your body as you experience it.

Once you’ve found it, examine the actions you take from this possibility as well as the thoughts and beliefs you hold as this most loving person. Notice what is happening in your life as a result.

When you are satisfied, make a commitment to yourself to allow your consciousness to reside in this possible reality, by building a bridge between it and your present circumstances.

Create a vision board that represents what you saw and felt as your most loving self…allowing it to flow into manifestation through the power of your conscious choice and intent.

Remember, you are one who is in control of and designing how you show up in life and in love

The Archangel Michael has been trying to get my attention for several weeks. These subtle communications began with work I was doing with another coach. I was coaching her to start her new career which combines a wellness food and supplement store with her health coaching services. When she found her store location she said there was a shop next door to it that always reminded her of me and she sent me a link to their website. From there I was led to the Archangel Michael pendant.

Michael kept showing me images of my spiritual self wearing the pendant and then in my NLP Practitioner group I became aware of a lady who channels angel healing and I watched her perform one on my friend Raj. I could literally feel the energy radiating out from her and affecting certain areas of my body even though she was not doing the healing for me.

To be honest I wasn’t at all sure what Michael was trying to tell me at first. I searched the internet for angel attunements, I looked up Reiki courses and tried searching for Michael in every way I could think of hoping he would lead me to some better understanding.

Angel Communication: If Subtle Hints Don’t Work…They Use a Hammer!

Then my daughter brought home a whopper of a virus, knocking us out of commission for nearly a week with skyrocketing fevers and terrible congestion. I was the last to get it and knowing that I allowed myself to become sick was like an alarm bell going off saying, what have I been ignoring that I need to take care of?

I thought maybe it was some accounting organization that was on my “to do” list…I cleared that out and it didn’t help. So then, I moved onto these all important “must have” documents I’ve been meaning to finish. I completed my revocable trust, will, my health and financial powers of attorney and still…nothing. Finally, after taking both of my children to the doctor and learning that they each had ear infections it clicked…I’m not listening…that is what this illness is trying to tell me.

Surrender

I already knew who it was I needed to listen to but I was bewildered because I had been looking for signs. Finally, the house cleared out for a day as the children and husband resumed a normal schedule and I surrendered. Michael, I said, I don’t know what you want…please show me.

The Attunement

I took the dog for a walk on the trails behind the house as I find the nature setting enhances my ability to receive messages as does the exercise. While walking with her I went off into a whole other world entirely safe under her watchful gaze, unconsciously moving along this trail we know so well.

Michael told me he wanted to teach me how to attune with him. He gave me a set of instructions which I followed to raise each of my chakras to his vibrational frequency.

Then he ran his energy through them, sprang forth from my crown chakra and bombarded me with light until we were deep into the void…nothing existed outside of the light…that’s all that there was.

When I returned to myself I found him standing directly behind me but it was more like he was standing inside of me except that he is sooo enormous he hovers high above my head. I understood that I was now an extension of his hands and a channel for his energy.

More on Mission

During this process Michael showed me a rapidly playing movie that explained the necessity of this energy connection with him and I received a lot more information than I knew previously about what my soul agreed to do on this planet.

In this movie was a map with points of light (representing geographic areas of high spiritual vibration, potential points for movements in the expansion of human consciousness), Michael explained that he has been with me from birth for the purpose of supporting those areas and that this mission is one that has been passed down to me through my Grandmother’s family in Cedaredge.

At this point he turned the conversation over to my Higher Self who explained some of the major turning points that happened last year and how they are significant in the present.

As I left the trail, Michael said the attunement process would continue for awhile and that I would receive a sign when it was complete, at this, he once again showed me his pendant.

Energy Shifts

When I returned home from the walk I went by a mirror as I removed my coat and stared into the largely dilated pupils of someone in deep trance. This didn’t really surprise me as it took me quite some time to get fully back into my body.

Something about the shift in energy made me simply irresistible to my dog though. First she tried to get all of her massive German Shepherd self into my lap for a cuddle and when that didn’t go to her satisfaction she followed me all around the house for a time whining audibly if I traveled to an area in which she is not allowed to go

Even the neighbor’s dog seemed affected as she ran tearing out of her yard toward me when she saw me out to check the mail…when she finally caught up with me she danced with her ears back begging to be stroked.

It’s funny how animals are often the first to respond to changing energy, come to think of it my palm chakras opened for the first time during the attunement, perhaps there is more to this petting stuff than I realized

I haven’t run for nearly two weeks. It’s unlike me but between all the car rides on vacation, catching up on the stuff to do at home and focusing on creating a new routine and direction that is how long it has taken me to work it back in.

I am zealous about physical activity however, so today was the day I turned it around and rededicated myself to my running routine. While I run, I usually do chakra meditations and this routine was no different.

Changed Chakras

The first thing I noticed when I entered this meditation was that my chakras were larger, brighter and for lack of a better word…stronger. Especially the first, second, fourth and sixth.

Lately, I have been very focused on working to rewire my neurology toward activities and thinking that support my purpose in life. So I guess it is not surprising that some of the changes I created might also have an effect on my chakras as I could feel them responding to the way I was reorganizing my mind.

As I experienced them during this run, there were massive differences in their openness and shifts in the energy surrounding them. They seemed to sing. Some part of me responded and I went further into the trance state.

Creating a Circuit

When I reached the seventh it opened wide and I saw energy roots coming from my legs, reaching deep into the earth and then connecting with what looked to be a plug originating from my eighth chakra. Once the cord was connected I experienced a surge of energy flow through me, pouring down into my flesh from my eighth chakra, a waterfall that filled me from the inside of my form like a container, until all I could see was a being of silver light.

Experiencing a New Me

As I ran, my limbs became the limbs of this energy being. Watching my arms and legs pump up and down, I caught sight of her silver sheen within me…causing my skin to become transparent in her light. I could see and feel her perfect beauty with every step and understood that it was the energy circuit that was holding her in place.

Experiencing myself through her was marvelous, I noticed my fluidity, my strength. It felt like all the potential of energy…like eternity. It was in this moment that I felt most like myself in an unlimited form.

I’m fairly certain it is the work I’ve been doing on my purpose that brought on this meeting with my higher self.

Knowing she’s there and that I can experience her in this way fills me with a sense of peace and is a wonderful validation of my current path.

Would you believe me if I told you that the real terror lies in discovering your destiny…in accepting your birthright and the enormous power that goes along with it?

There comes a time when we manifest our days from the content of our dreams…only to find ourselves no longer sleeping. Our chests heave with lungs full of breath and a budding new awareness begins to occupy every cell of our bodies. Suddenly we know who we are…we are awake, alive, conscious!

Discovering Your Power: The Hero’s Journey

Joseph Campbell described the purpose of life as undertaking the Hero’s Journey. This frame can be looked at in the large overall scheme of one’s life as well as the myriad smaller versions that happen every time we cross a threshold and move toward something spiritually new.

The pattern is separation – initiation – return; this requires a leaving of what is familiar into the unknown, a challenge or trial to face and overcome and a return that carries with it new information, a new social role and a new way of being in the world.

I was very familiar with this frame as a child…I resonated with it and just knew that I would be the kid to go on the big adventure. I would be the one who was lured by the unicorn to meet the dragon, receive the guidance of the old wizard and face the ultimate challenge for the sake of the greater good. My world as a child was full of mythical creatures and magical things, some of which looked normal by day and frightening by night.

I knew there were dark and scary things out there. I had come face to face with many of them at an early age…at that time the best I could do was survive.

But underneath the challenges of the world, there was a love that I could sense, a belonging and what seemed like a whole other secret dimension somewhere under the surface. It was a place that constantly changed like the shifting sand on the shore. I learned that I could sense it, feel it, see it and utterly experience it…like the ocean breeze, wild, free and available.

It was here I learned to go to escape pain…and to chase every passion driven adventure I’ve taken in life. The roads passion led me down were like a maze…the love I sensed was the prize at the end.

When I stepped out toward living on purpose (the separation portion of the journey)…I was to discover the beast hidden in the labyrinth was my wounded relationship with pleasure and that becoming whole would be my challenge.

The Challenge

I believe in transformation. I believe in unlimited resources. I believe that anything is possible.

However, I never applied this knowledge to the monsters of my childhood, somehow the idea that they could ever be transformed into anything beyond acceptance just hadn’t occurred to me. I had forgiven and had healed enough to allow a certain level of functionality but that was as far as I went.

That all changed one day when my husband asked me why it was I never told him how to pleasure me, why I never wanted anything from him in that way. My answer was I didn’t know…but I understood how unfair it was to him to always be in the position of receiving and never be able to give, so I decided in that moment that I was not going to live that way any longer.

Immediately dropping down inside of myself I asked, “Why don’t you know?” The response came quickly as I saw a part of myself floating away…to a safe place. This was the me who has a voice in the realms of physical pleasure and passion, the part that inhabits me when I feel and makes decisions about what is felt and what is denied…moving herself away from the body was an act of protection that had become a habit whether or not it was necessary.

It was the way she learned to use her voice…and to remain in control. It was clear to me as I stared into my husband’s eyes that it was time to learn something new, that this behavior no longer served me. Something inside stirred and awakened with the knowledge of a better way…

Beautiful Monsters: Choosing the Set for Your Story

What is painful? What is wrong? What is pleasurable? What is enjoyable?

All of these things are perceptions…categories, information and a storage system within the mind.

What happens if you put a memory in a different category? If you paint it a different color? Give it a new soundtrack? Or change who you are in that memory?

The memory shifts from something tragic, painful, hideous or difficult to something that’s o.k., enjoyable, powerful or even beautiful.

Monsters must have the proper set up in the story to remain monsters…and ugly must be made a space to remain ugly.

Let go of that space, change the story and the memory will transform. The monsters will cease to be scary…in fact, they may have a message for you, a vital piece of information, of learning that you will be grateful to receive.

Memories are changeable. The scene can be recreated, the actors can be assigned new roles, the emotional responses can be altered as well as the filters the mind uses to experience them.

Any memory can be transformed into something empowering…all it takes is an adventurer who is willing to undertake the journey, to become the hero and to accept the gift upon the return and an experienced guide.

Tower Rescue: The Return

Like the fairy tale princess, the part of me that was locked in the tower was given a ladder, in the form of my chakras, through which to re-enter the world.

When I started living on purpose I became aware of my life’s connection to passion. Working on opening up my first chakra to increase that connection is what my spirit was prompting me to do and ultimately it was what led me out on the call to adventure and to facing the challenge.

Now that I am back there is more of me to inhabit the world. It climbs down through my chakras on a river of energy created by passion and pleasure into this realm..the experience of which is a beautiful reflection of my soul.
